Description

Unpainted wood sign letters and numbers are perfect for any indoor sign lettering or even temporary outdoor signs. They arrive ready to paint or stain, and come in over 1700 font styles. These small to large unpainted wooden letters are custom cut to your specifications. Ready to paint wood lettering adds an organic or vintage look to any indoor sign.

We cut our standard indoor lettering from Baltic Birch Plywood which is one of the strongest wood materials available for sign and craft projects. It features a better edge painting surface than standard plywood and has a nice grain for staining. If you are looking for wood letters thicker than ¾ inch, we have unpainted MDF wooden letters. If you are looking for outdoor rated wood letters, we have Medex letters.

Our unpainted wood letters do not come with any mounting hardware. Double sided mounting tape and removable spray adhesive are available for purchase when submitting your order. If you would rather hang your wooden letters by a nail, we suggest purchasing framing hardware locally and attaching it to the back of the letter.

Sizing Information

The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "A" of the font you specify. Depending on the font, some uppercase/lowercase letters may be shorter or taller than the height you specify on the order form so they will look proportionate to each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your lettering in different dimensions than the letter height ordered. If all lettering is ordered in lower case, we still scale the lettering to an uppercase “A” which will make most of the letters smaller than what was ordered. Please contact us if you would like to size your lettering differently from our standards. Please see examples below:

Note: All Letters in the 1/8, 1/4 and 3/4 inch thickness are cut with a laser which leaves a dark smooth edge as shown above. The edge can be painted over. The 1/2 and 3/4 thick lettering are cut with a computer controlled router and then the edges are sanded smooth before painting.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Custom script fonts may be charged an additional fee due to the additional cutting time it requires over a standard listed font. You will be contacted by our Customer Service Department if this applies to your order.

*Letters that are 26 inches or larger will be charged actual shipping charges. This may be more than the shipping amount shown in shopping cart. We will contact you before starting your order for approval.
