Unpainted MDO Wooden Letters
|
Description
These economically priced outdoor sign letters are made of special plywood called Medium Density Overlay. The adhesive holding the ply together is weather resistant and will not warp in varying temperatures. Router cut wooden letters can be made in any font and allow for custom logos to be made to your specifications. Optional stud mounting provides an unblemished lettering and includes a template for simple installation and alignment. The face is pre-primed to produce an even surface for easy painting. Our MDO letters do not come with any mounting hardware. Mounting studs are available for an additional charge. These studs are threaded aluminum prongs that stick out of the back of the letter. The mounting template will display the location of the studs and is used to drill holes in the wall where the lettering is mounted. Alternative mounting options are heavy duty adhesive or drilling screws through the face of the letter.

Sizing Information
The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "A" of the font you specify. Depending on the font, some uppercase/lowercase letters may be shorter or taller than the height you specify on the order form so they will look proportionate to each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your lettering in different dimensions than the letter height ordered. If all lettering is ordered in lower case, we still scale the lettering to an uppercase “A” which will make most of the letters smaller than what was ordered. Please contact us if you would like to size your lettering differently from our standards. Please see examples below:
Note: All Letters in the 1/8, 1/4 & 3/8 inch thickness are cut with a laser which leaves a dark smooth edge as shown above. The edge can be painted over. The 1/2 and 3/4 thick lettering are cut with a computer controlled router and then the edges are sanded smooth before painting.
