BALTIC BIRCH PLY: Most decor wooden letters on the market today are cut from MDF wood which is a pressed fiberboard. It has no grains so the wood easily breaks if dropped. Instead, we cut our standard indoor lettering from Baltic Birch Plywood. This is one of the strongest wood materials available for sign and craft projects. It's thin, dense ply layers give it a higher strength rating than solid non-plywoods. It's thin, tight layers also gives it a better edge painting surface than standard plywood. The edge of the 1/8 and 1/4 inch thick lettering will have a darker brown than the standard color of Baltic Birch Ply since they are cut with a laser. Click Here for suggested paints to use.
